Last Man Standing

by Dan on September 14, 2011 0 Comments

For someone who is so certain about everything, it’s humorous to think I have no idea how things will actually turn out.  Perhaps one day I’ll have everything that I’ve ever wanted.  Maybe I’ll look back on this post and laugh because, well, it was all inevitable for things to go exactly as planned.    Meaning, the income, house, wife and kids will all be there accordingly and when the time is right.  There is no indication that it wouldn’t go that way.  Let’s be honest, life hasn’t really thrown me any crazy curveballs to this point.  Unless you count a reality TV show, I don’t.

As a side note, does marriage change everything??  To me it would.  Right now I have an awesome setup.  My place is cool, work couldn’t be better, well, I could always make more money and of ...

Should I stay or Should I go??

by Dan on August 19, 2011 0 Comments

All week I have been contemplating whether or not I should return to my home town, Richland, WA and visit with some family and friends or stay in Seattle and see what happens.  As the week progressed,  events starting popping up in the city that seemed exciting.  First it was a cigar expo that takes place on Saturday (which is huge).  Next was the Seahawks first home preseason game, which is on Sunday.  Thirdly, was the "Seattle by foot, Pub Crawl, awesome.  All the meanwhile, Hempfest 2011 will be going on.  Now, as much as I enjoy going home from time to time, the final decision in this matter was determined for me by the great city of Seattle and all it has to offer.

As a side note, my friends and I have stumbled upon new means of transportation in the city.  The company name is Uber and they ...

Making the change (People helping People)

by Dan on June 14, 2011 1 Comment

The past few years of my life have been dedicated to, well, myself.  That doesn't go without saying I haven't been a great friend, son, uncle,  brother, employee, showman, writer, singer/songwriter.  Because, I have been really good at all those things.  However, I have neglected one area that I have always felt would be my strongest.  And for that reason I have decided to refocus the next several years of my life to those in need.  I am going to concentrate on helping people who sometimes don't have the means to help themselves.   Through any means necessary, I will commit as much time as possible to doing something that revolves around a cause that makes a real difference.  I have some things in mind that I know will make an immediate impact and I also know several semi-permanent changes that can be made as well.

If there's a will, there's definitely a way...

by Dan on March 31, 2011 0 Comments

There have been several moments in my life over the past  few years where I was convinced that things were going to drastically change for the better.  Where I was certain that the big "pay day" was right around the corner.  Perhaps it was the company for which I am currently employed taking off.  Or the TV show being a huge success (which it was) and ultimately leading to something even bigger or better.  Or even the screenplay I wrote called "Going Up" magically being discovered and turned into something real.  And yes, maybe even the song I wrote and performed being a huge YouTube sensation. However farfetched my aspirations may seem, there has never been a moment of doubt that anything is possible.  So far, I have yet to achieve any amazing level of success but have succeeded in other areas that I have always believed are far more ...

Winter Wonderland

by Dan on October 22, 2010 0 Comments

As winter draws near, I am preparing for possibly one of the most spectacular, snow covered, four month long festivals ever to hit the Pacific Northwest.  This winter has the potential to be the perfect storm of beauty, romance, chaos and much, much more. Part of my belief is drawn from the simple fact that last winter, although enjoyable was quite mild in nature.  From the weather to the quality of girls, to everything in between.  Even though that actually constitutes most things the are important (weather and women).  From where I live, to where I work, to the places I eat and drink, all have a heightened sense of excitement and endless amount of potential. Obviously there are some major aspects that I am leaving out but until things actually materialize I won't be able to divulge what those are.  Think Big! At the very least, I guess ...

Have a little fun and Dance with me

by Dan on July 14, 2010 3 Comments

There is a time and place for almost everything in this world.  That is why I have chosen this time, here and now to show off my dancing abilities... Or lack thereof.  Regardless, dancing is one of the things that I have the most fun doing.  Whether it be by myself or with the most beautiful girl in the world.  Something that makes me feel good and energized.  Something that is always there and something that I can do for all of time.  I hope you enjoy these two clips of me doing my THANG!  Oh and it was actually done for something special but it's a little too premature to reveal exactly what that is.  ENJOY!

Ways of the World

by Dan on June 9, 2010 2 Comments

For some reason I have been hanging out with more and more couples lately.  Some have been together for a year, while others have been together for over five years. Which is fine because I end up playing the role of "rebel" who refuses to give in to the notion that there is only one way to do things.  I happen think there are always several methods for accomplishing the same task.

Take marriage for example, some people strongly feel that there is a necessity to date for an extended period of time before exchanging vows.  I happen to think that's all a bunch of hoopla.  My life has brought me to the conclusion that one day there will be a girl I meet and instantly fall into this whirlwind of passion, love, excitement, understanding and being.  Meaning, it will just feel right and we'll go with it ...

I've been playing "Love Games" since I was a kid...

by Dan on April 25, 2010 0 Comments

The bell would ring for recess and I couldn't have been more thrilled about it.  Except I wasn't looking forward to playing basketball or hanging out with the other boys on the playground.  I had a plan, a purpose, each and everytime that bell would ring.  My goal was always to see how many girls I could get to like me by the end of the day.   With about four or five breaks including morning before class started, offered just enough for the mission at hand.  I mean let's be serious... As serious as we can be ;)  In every classroom there are about 8-10 halfway decent girls, 4-7 cute girls, 2-3 pretty girls and 1 stunningly gorgeous girl.  You know, your Farrah Fawcett, your Marylin Monroe, your Wendy Peffercorn.  Ahhhhhhh...  Wendy Peffercorn (The Sandlot).  Getting them to understand your interest in them was critical.  It could be ...
